What is this?
Friday Night Movies at Cookley Cottage is a time and place for friends to gather together to watch a movie. We'll try to show a movie every other week, and if you know where to go, you're welcome to come and watch.
When and where?
Cookley Cottage! If you know where to go, you know where to go. We'll be in the basement. Come to the back door. As for when, usually we'll start the movie at 7:00pm, 8:00pm, or 8:30pm. Please try to come at least 15-20 minutes early to talk, get a snack, a seat, and ready for the show. Check above for the official start time.
Can my kids come?
Sometimes. We'll show some dedicated kids movies where kids are invited, we'll show some adult only movies where kids are not allowed, and we'll show some movies that you as their parent can decide if you want to bring them. Kid inclusion will be noted above.
Why do this?
There are so many movies that have come out over the years that we have never seen, we thought it would be fun to have some friends over and watch something new, or sometimes, an old favorite.
Got any snacks?
We'll have popcorn bags available and ready for popping, should you want some. There may be other snacks. We'll also usually have some beer and cocktails available, if that's your thing.
Can I request a movie?
Absolutely! Talk to me (Chris) and let me know what you're thinking, and how we can watch it. Can we stream it? Do you have a disc? Etc.
